Commi Chef / Commi 1,2,3 – INOX PVR Property

Job Summary

We are looking for experienced male culinary professionals to join the kitchen team at an INOX PVR property. Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of relevant professional kitchen experience with hands-on expertise in Chinese, Continental, and Italian cuisines.

The selected candidate will be responsible for food preparation, cooking, presentation, hygiene, and maintaining consistent food quality in accordance with company standards and SOPs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook dishes according to standardized recipes and presentation standards.
• Handle preparation and cooking of Chinese, Continental, and Italian cuisines.
• Maintain consistency in taste, quality, portion size, and presentation.
• Assist the Sous Chef and senior kitchen team in daily kitchen operations.
• Maintain proper mise en place and ensure timely food preparation during peak hours.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and grooming standards.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and FIFO rotation of food products.
• Monitor ingredient quality and minimize food wastage.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation and kitchen.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely order preparation.
• Support inventory control and report shortages or quality issues to the senior chef.
• Follow all kitchen SOPs, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Assist in training and guiding junior kitchen staff, wherever required.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Chinese, Continental, and Italian cuisine.
• Good understanding of cooking methods, sauces, stocks, pasta, appetizers, and main-course preparation.
• Good knife-handling and mise en place skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
• Strong knowledge of hygiene and food-safety practices.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple orders and priorities efficiently.
• Good attention to detail and food presentation.

Eligibility

• Gender: Male candidates only.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant professional kitchen experience.
• Experience in a hotel, restaurant, QSR, cinema F&B outlet, or similar commercial kitchen is preferred.
• Candidates with relevant Culinary Arts / Hotel Management qualifications will be preferred.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Candidates should demonstrate good grooming, discipline, and professional kitchen etiquette.
