Retail Sales Associate

1. Customer Handling: Greet every customer promptly; understand requirements, budget and preferences; provide courteous service; assist customers throughout their shopping journey

2. Product Selling: Explain product features, fabric, quality, size, fit, colour and price; suggest suitable alternatives; cross-sell and upsell complementary products

3. Sales Target: Achieve daily, weekly and monthly sales targets; focus on conversion rate and average bill value; actively approach customers rather than waiting

4. Product Knowledge: Know the complete product range, SKU, sizes, colours, fabrics, MRP, selling price and current offers; understand differences between similar products

5. Product Display: Keep garments properly folded/hung and arranged; maintain attractive displays; ensure products are correctly tagged and easy to locate.

6. Billing Support: Verify items, sizes, quantities and prices before billing; coordinate with cashier; ensure discounts/offers are correctly applied

7. Stock Management: Check availability of required sizes/colours; inform supervisor about fast-moving and out-of-stock products; assist in stock counting and physical verification

8. Replenishment: Bring stock from the backroom/warehouse to the sales floor; ensure popular products are continuously replenished

9. Customer Feedback: Capture customer preferences, complaints, product requests and reasons for non-purchase; communicate important feedback to the store manager

10. Cross-Selling: Suggest related products—for example, T-shirt + lower, kurti + stole, shirt + innerwear, etc.—to increase the basket size

11. Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of shelves, racks, counters and trial rooms; ensure the shop always looks customer-ready

12.Loss Prevention: Remain alert to shoplifting, misplaced products, tag switching and unauthorized discounts; follow store security procedures

13. Opening & ClosingParticipate in opening/closing activities, including arranging merchandise, checking the sales floor and securing products as per SOP.
