Job description

We are looking for an experienced Team Leader Term/Life Insurance Sales to lead, manage, and develop a high-performing insurance sales team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Term Insurance Sales, Life Insurance Sales, Team Handling, Sales Management, Lead Conversion, and Business Development.

The candidate will be responsible for driving team performance, monitoring sales activities, coaching team members, identifying performance gaps, and implementing effective sales strategies to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage a team of Insurance Sales Executives / Sales Advisors.

- Drive Term Insurance and Life Insurance sales through effective team management and sales strategies.

- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance of the team.

- Set clear performance expectations and ensure achievement of assigned business objectives.

- Track lead generation, lead follow-up, conversion, sales closure, and business performance.

- Conduct regular performance reviews and identify individual and team-level performance gaps.

- Coach, mentor, and motivate team members to improve their sales performance.

- Provide regular guidance on customer handling, product positioning, objection handling, and sales conversion.

- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and action plans for business growth.

- Analyse sales data and performance trends to identify opportunities and areas of improvement.

- Ensure proper utilisation and follow-up of leads through the sales process.

- Maintain strong focus on customer engagement, relationship management, and quality sales.

- Support team members in handling complex customer queries and sales objections.

- Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and sales discussions.

- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of sales processes.

- Maintain accurate sales reports, MIS, and performance updates.

Preferred candidate profile

- Minimum 1 years of overall experience in Insurance Sales, preferably with relevant experience in a Team Leader / Team Handling role.

- Strong hands-on experience in Term Insurance Sales is mandatory/preferred.

- Good knowledge of Term Insurance and Life Insurance products.

- Proven experience in team handling, sales management, and business development.

- Strong understanding of the insurance sales cycle, lead management, customer acquisition, and conversion.

- Excellent leadership, coaching, mentoring, and people management skills.

- Strong analytical and strategic thinking ability.

- Ability to identify performance gaps and implement corrective action plans.

- Strong communication, negotiation, persuasion, and customer-handling skills.

- Ability to motivate and develop sales team members.

- Comfortable working with sales MIS, performance reports, and CRM/sales tools.
