Role : Associate Manager or Manager_Level (1/2)
We are seeking an experienced Manager – Packaging with strong expertise in packaging innovation, sustainability, product development, and commercialization across consumer-focused industries including FMCG, pharma, healthcare, food, retail, and consumer durables.
The opportunity
This role offers the opportunity to help organizations accelerate packaging innovation, achieve sustainability goals, improve operational efficiency, and create next-generation packaging solutions through the combination of technical expertise, digital technologies, and AI-driven insights.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement packaging innovation and transformation strategies.
- Develop sustainable packaging solutions aligned with regulatory (EPR, PPT, PPWR, FPR) and business requirements.
- Lead packaging design, development, testing, validation, and commercialization initiatives.
- Advise clients on packaging material selection, circularity, recyclability, and sustainability improvements.
- Identify opportunities to improve packaging quality, performance, consumer convenience, and cost competitiveness.
- Conceptualize and develop AI-enabled solutions for packaging R&D, material intelligence, sustainability analytics, and productivity enhancement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across R&D, procurement, manufacturing, quality, and sustainability functions.
- Support proposals, client presentations, solution development, and pre-sales engagements.
Preferred Experience:
- 10 -12 years of experience with a leading industry firm, with a focus on packaging category.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Packaging/Materials/Polymer/Food/Chemical/Mechanical/Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Experience in packaging R&D, product development, innovation, sustainability, or packaging operations.
- Industry experience across FMCG, pharma, healthcare, food, consumer products, retail, or e-commerce.
- Good understanding of flexible, rigid, paper-based, and protective packaging solutions.
- Experience in packaging testing, validation, commercialization, and product launch activities.
- Knowledge of sustainable packaging, recyclability, EPR, packaging regulations, and waste reduction initiatives.
- Ability to identify and develop AI, analytics, and digital solutions for packaging and sustainability challenges.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business recommendations.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including R&D, Marketing, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Sustainability, and Digital teams
- Hands-on experience using AI, Generative AI, and digital tools in daily project delivery to accelerate analysis and automate reporting
