Role overview :
•The sales executive is responsible for executing sales activities in the assigned territory for the company’s in vitro diagnostics business.
•This is a field-based role focused on achieving sales targets through customer visits, distributor coordination, and effective product selling.
•This role involves technical selling, requiring understanding of diagnostic products, laboratory workflows, and their clinical application.
•The role requires disciplined daily execution and adherence to the defined reporting structure.
Territory sales responsibility:
•Achieve assigned sales targets for the territory.
•Drive consistent order generation and sales growth.
•Identify new business opportunities and on-board new customers.
•Expand presence in existing and new areas.
•Track sales performance and take corrective actions as required.
Customer conversion and relationship management:
•Identify and convert diagnostic laboratories, clinics, and healthcare customers.
•Maintain regular visits and follow-ups with existing customers.
•Build and sustain professional relationships with lab owners, technicians, clinicians, and other key decision-makers.
•Ensure repeat business and customer retention.
Distributor and channel management
•Work closely with distributors and their sales teams to drive secondary sales.
•Coordinate daily retailing activities and ensure effective market coverage.
•Conduct joint field visits with distributor representatives to customers and prospects.
•Provide basic product and selling guidance to distributor teams.
•Support order generation, stock movement, and timely product supply.
•Maintain regular coordination to address market and supply-related issues.
Product promotion and selling
•Sell and promote the complete range of Reckon Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd. IVD products.
•Explain product usage, benefits, positioning, and technical relevance to customers based on laboratory requirements.
•Promote focus products as per company priorities.
•Ensure correct product usage at customer sites.
•Drive repeat orders through regular follow-ups.
Pricing discipline and commercial compliance
•Adhere strictly to company-approved price lists and selling prices.
•Communicate approved pricing and schemes accurately to customers and distributors.
•Avoid unauthorized discounts or price deviations.
•Escalate special pricing requests or competitive pricing pressure to the reporting manager.
•Support correct implementation of pricing revisions and schemes in the market.
Field planning and execution
•Carry out customer visits as per the daily, weekly, and monthly call plan.
•Execute daily calls and field activities with discipline.
•Undertake field tours and joint visits with distributor teams.
•Manage time and routes effectively within the territory.
•Submit accurate and timely reports of field activities and sales progress.
•Application support and troubleshooting
•Handle basic application-related issues at the field level.
•Address routine troubleshooting and usage-related discrepancies.
•Handle customer complaints related to product or service.
•Coordinate with application, service, or internal teams for escalation.
•Follow up until closure to ensure customer satisfaction.
Market and customer feedback:
•Collect customer feedback during regular field visits.
•Gather market information on competitor activity, pricing, and schemes.
•Share product performance and distributor feedback from the market.
•Report all relevant inputs to head office in a timely manner.
•Technical knowledge and skills
•Have basic working knowledge of in vitro diagnostic products.
•Be familiar with rapid diagnostic tests.
•Understand clinical chemistry reagents and workflows.
•Have basic awareness of immunoassay technologies such as FIA and CLIA.
•Be familiar with semi-automatic and fully automatic clinical chemistry analyzers.
•Have basic understanding of electrolyte and hematology analyzers.
•Use this knowledge for technical selling, sales discussions, distributor training, and routine customer support.
•Process compliance and conduct
•Follow company sales processes and standard operating procedures.
•Ensure accuracy in orders, documentation, and reporting.
•Comply with company policies, ethical standards, and professional conduct guidelines.
Additional responsibilities:
Carry out any other work related to sales, field operations, distributor coordination, or business support as assigned by the company from time to time.
Qualifications and experience:
•B.Sc / M.Sc / B.Pharm / Biotechnology / MLT.
•1–2 years of experience in IVD, pharma, or healthcare field sales preferred.
•Industry : Preferred IVD
