Store Supervisor – Job Role & Responsibilities

A Store Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow, maintaining inventory accuracy, and delivering excellent customer service. They act as a bridge between management and store staff.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise day-to-day store activities and ensure efficient operations

- Manage and guide store staff, including scheduling and task assignments

- Maintain proper stock levels and monitor inventory regularly

- Coordinate with suppliers and handle goods receiving and storage

- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in the store

- Handle customer queries, complaints, and provide quick resolutions

- Monitor sales performance and support in achieving targets

- Maintain billing accuracy and oversee cash handling procedures

- Prepare daily/weekly reports on sales, stock, and store performance

- Ensure proper display and arrangement of products

Skills & Requirements:

- Basic knowledge of inventory management and billing systems (Tally/ERP preferred)

- Good communication and leadership skills

- Ability to handle pressure and multitask

- Basic computer knowledge (Excel, billing software)

- Experience in retail or grocery store operations is an advantage

Qualification:

- Minimum: Intermediate / Degree

- Experience: 1–3 years in retail/store management preferred

Work Environment:

- Grocery store / retail outlet / wholesale store

- Requires flexible working hours including weekends

Salary Range:

- Depends on experience and store size (Approx. ₹15,000 – ₹20,000 per month)
