Account Assistant

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Assistant to support the finance and accounting team with day-to-day accounting operations. The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices and payments, assisting with reconciliations, and supporting financial reporting and statutory compliance.

• Key Responsibilities : Record and maintain day-to-day accounting transactions.
• Process purchase and sales invoices, bills, receipts, and payment entries.
• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
• Perform bank and ledger reconciliations and identify discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, MIS reports, and other management reports.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
• Coordinate with vendors and customers regarding invoices, payments, and outstanding balances.
• Assist with GST, TDS and other statutory accounting requirements, as applicable.
• Support audit activities and provide required documents and information.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and follow up where required.
• Assist senior accountants with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and updated on time
