Job Description
- Drawing & Drafting: Prepare detailed AutoCAD 2D/3D drawings, including electrical layouts, lighting plans, and audio-visual schematic diagrams.
- System Design: Design layout plans for home automation products, including lighting control, dimmers, CCTV/surveillance, and home theater systems.
- Site Planning: Convert site measurements and project requirements into actionable technical drawings, including conduit routing, panel (DB) layouts, and rack layouts.
- Collaboration: Work with pre-sales teams, project managers, and contractors to finalize designs.
- Revisions & Updates: Modify drawings based on client feedback, site constraints, or project changes.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all designs comply with electrical standards, safety protocols, and company guidelines.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD: Expert in 2D drafting; 3D modeling skills are highly preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of electrical symbols, low-voltage systems, and home automation protocols.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in scaling, dimensioning, and creating accurate, actionable plans.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve design conflicts related to complex building floorplans.
- Communication: Ability to explain technical designs to site teams and clients.
Typical Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Architecture, or Civil Engineering.
- Experience: 1–3+ years of experience in AutoCAD drafting, specifically within the electrical or home automation industry.
