Housekeeping Staff

The Employee is expected to perform the following duties efficiently and to a high standard. Detailed checklists for daily, weekly, and monthly tasks may be provided separately.

A. Housekeeping and Cleaning

• Daily Tasks: Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors; dusting furniture and surfaces; making beds; tidying up common areas; emptying trash bins and replacing liners.
• Kitchen Care: Washing dishes, cleaning countertops, wiping down kitchen appliances (stove, microwave, toaster), and maintaining a hygienic food preparation area. [1]
• Bathroom Sanitation: Cleaning and disinfecting toilets, showers, bathtubs, sinks, and mirrors on a scheduled basis (e.g., twice a week or as needed).
• Deep Cleaning: Periodic cleaning of windows, inside cupboards, refrigerator defrosting, and oven cleaning as scheduled by the Employer.

B. Laundry and Linen Care

• Washing, drying, folding, and ironing clothing, towels, and bed linens according to fabric care instructions.
• Changing bedsheets and pillowcases once per week or upon request.
• Organizing closets and ensuring clean clothes are put away in their designated places.

C. Meal Preparation (If Applicable)

• Assisting with basic grocery inventory management and reporting low supplies.
• Preparing nutritious meals (breakfast/lunch/dinner) based on the family’s preferences and dietary restrictions.
• Ensuring proper food storage and monitoring expiration dates. [1]

D. Special Assignments / Errand Running (If Applicable)

• Receiving home deliveries and coordinating with scheduled maintenance services.
• Watering indoor and outdoor plants.

Running local errands such as purchasing groceries, dropping off dry cleaning, or picking up mail.
