Job Description – Senior Accountant

We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and responsible Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, experience in statutory compliance, and the ability to independently manage day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring accuracy and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complete accounting operations, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journal entries, and bank transactions.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts using accounting software (Nakoda, Tally Prime, or equivalent) and MS Excel.
• Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Handle GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances, including timely return filing and reconciliations.
• Perform bank, vendor, customer, and ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring timely collections and payments.
• Prepare MIS reports, cash flow statements, profit & loss reports, balance sheets, and other financial reports for management.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and government authorities during audits and compliance activities.
• Verify invoices, expense claims, and financial documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records in both physical and digital formats.
• Supervise and guide junior accounting staff while ensuring smooth workflow within the accounts department.
• Support management with financial planning, budgeting, and cost analysis.
• Ensure confidentiality of financial information and adherence to internal controls and company policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), M.Com, MBA (Finance), or equivalent.
• 4–8 years of experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, bookkeeping, and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Tally Prime, Nakoda ERP, MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas), and accounting software.
• Experience in finalization of accounts and statutory compliance.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple accounting tasks efficiently.
