### **Position Summary**
The QA/QC Civil Engineer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring quality control systems across all site construction activities. This role involves rigorous inspection of raw materials, concrete pouring, structural works, and finishing works to ensure compliance with project specifications, structural drawings, and relevant IS/international standards.

### **Key Responsibilities**
* **Quality Control & Inspections:**
* Inspect incoming raw materials (steel, cement, aggregates, bricks, chemicals) and ensure mandatory test certificates (MTC) are verified.
* Conduct pre-pour, during-pour, and post-pour inspections for all RCC structural elements (shuttering, reinforcement detailing, concrete cover, and compaction).
* Inspect finishing activities including masonry, plastering, waterproofing, tiling, and painting for defect-free execution.
* **Testing & Laboratory Management:**
* Perform on-site field tests (slump test, silt content, core cutter) and supervise laboratory testing (cube compressive strength, steel tensile testing).
* Maintain and operate the on-site quality testing lab; ensure periodic calibration of all testing equipment and batching plants.
* **Documentation & Audit:**
* Prepare and maintain Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), and Method Statements.
* Maintain comprehensive QA/QC documentation, test registers, mix design reports, and inspection check-sheets for client/consultant audits.
* **Non-Conformance & Corrective Action:**
* Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for non-compliant site activities or substandard materials.
* Perform root cause analysis and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) in coordination with execution teams.
* **Stakeholder Coordination:**
* Coordinate joint site inspections with client QA teams, third-party inspection agencies (TPIA), and structural consultants for key milestone approvals.

### **Key Skills & Competencies**
* **Standards & Codes:** Strong working knowledge of IS Codes (IS 456, IS 1786, IS 383, IS 2386, etc.), ISO 9001 standards, and quality protocols.
* **Technical Proficiency:** Expertise in concrete mix designs, non-destructive testing (NDT), waterproofing protocols, and structural detailing.
* **Problem Solving:** Ability to identify structural and finishing defects early and enforce corrective measures without stalling overall site progress.
* **Software Skills:** Proficiency in MS Office (Excel reporting) and basic AutoCAD for drawing verification.
