Accountant

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Accountant / Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting and financial operations for our restaurant business. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Tally, GST, TDS, Excel, bank reconciliation, vendor accounting, POS reconciliation and restaurant accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day accounts in Tally Prime
• Record purchase, sales, expenses, receipts and payments
• Prepare and verify daily sales and collection reports
• Reconcile Petpooja/POS sales with cash, card, UPI and online delivery platforms
• Reconcile Swiggy and Zomato settlements
• Maintain vendor ledgers and supplier reconciliation
• Prepare and monitor accounts payable and receivable
• Perform regular bank reconciliation
• Handle GST, TDS and other statutory accounting requirements
• Coordinate with CA/auditors for GST returns, TDS and annual accounts
• Maintain payroll and staff salary records
• Monitor petty cash and daily cash transactions
• Assist in preparation of monthly P&L and balance sheet
• Track restaurant food cost, purchase cost and inventory-related accounting
• Verify purchase invoices and supporting documents
• Identify accounting discrepancies, unusual expenses and financial leakages
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records
• Prepare management reports and MIS as required

Required Skills

• Tally Prime – mandatory
• Advanced/Good MS Excel
• GST & TDS knowledge
• Bank reconciliation
• Vendor reconciliation
• POS/restaurant accounting
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred

• Previous experience in restaurant/hospitality accounting
• Experience with Petpooja or other restaurant POS systems
• Experience handling multiple outlets
• Knowledge of Swiggy/Zomato reconciliation
• Experience preparing monthly MIS and P&L

Education: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / equivalent accounting qualification preferred.

Ideal Candidate:

Someone who can independently take responsibility for the complete day-to-day accounting function, rather than only entering bills into Tally.
