Accountant – Job Description

We are looking for an Accountant to handle day-to-day accounting and financial activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily sales and purchase invoices and accounting entries.
• Make regular entries and maintain accounts in Tally.
• Perform regular bank reconciliation and maintain bank records.
• Maintain customer and vendor ledgers and prepare statements of accounts.
• Assist in accounts finalization, including checking ledgers, outstanding balances and basic adjustments.
• Have good knowledge of GST and TDS, including accounting entries, reconciliations, returns and basic compliance requirements.
• Monitor receivables and payables and outstanding balances.
• Prepare basic MIS reports and financial statements as required.
• Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Handle other routine accounting and administrative activities as required.

Requirements:

• Good working knowledge of Tally and MS Excel.
• Strong knowledge of GST and TDS and related compliance.
• Good understanding of bank reconciliation, ledger maintenance and general accounting.
• Experience in a trading/manufacturing business will be an advantage.
