Job Description
About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and hands-on Hotel General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our upcoming 24-room hotel with a 60-cover restaurant and events/banquet facilities in Miraj.
The ideal candidate should have strong practical experience in hotel operations and be capable of independently managing the property, staff and guest experience.
- Key ResponsibilitiesOverall responsibility for day-to-day hotel operations
- Manage and supervise Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Kitchen and support teams
- Recruit, train and manage hotel staff
- Maintain high standards of guest service and satisfaction
- Monitor room occupancy, room rates and hotel revenue
- Manage restaurant and F&B operations
- Supervise housekeeping standards and room readiness
- Control inventory, wastage and operating costs
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers and service providers
- Handle guest complaints and resolve operational issues
- Ensure proper SOPs and discipline across departments
- Monitor daily sales, collections and operational expenses
- Coordinate events, functions and banquet requirements
- Ensure compliance with hotel safety, hygiene and statutory requirements
- Prepare and review daily/weekly operational reports
- Drive repeat business, online reviews and overall property performance
Candidate ProfileWe are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in managing hotel operations independently
- Strong in staff handling and team leadership
- Hands-on rather than purely administrative
- Good at guest interaction and problem solving
- Commercially aware and capable of controlling costs
- Comfortable managing multiple departments
- Able to build and implement SOPs for a new property
- Willing to be actively involved in the opening and operational setup of the hotel
Minimum experience: 6–8 years in hotel/hospitality operations.
Hotel management qualification preferred.
Candidates with experience as Hotel Manager / Operations Manager / Assistant General Manager / Senior Front Office Manager may also be considered if they have sufficient operational exposure.
