Job Summary 

Knack RCM is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Team Lead - Medical Coding (Anesthesia)- to oversee daily coding operations, ensure coding accuracy and compliance, mentor team members, and drive productivity and quality performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in medical coding guidelines, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage client deliverables while maintaining high-quality standards. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead and supervise a team of medical coders to achieve productivity and quality targets. 
• Review coding accuracy and ensure compliance with ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and payer-specific guidelines. 
• Conduct regular quality audits and provide constructive feedback to team members. 
• Mentor, train, and support coders to enhance performance and professional development. 
• Monitor daily workflow, allocate workloads, and ensure timely project completion. 
• Analyze coding trends, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions. 
• Collaborate with Quality, Operations, and Client Management teams to address coding-related issues. 
• Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials. 
• Prepare and maintain performance reports, productivity dashboards, and quality metrics. 
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies. 
• Handle client escalations and participate in client discussions when required. 

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare Management, or a related field. 
• Minimum 4-7 years of experience in Medical Coding (Anesthesia), with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. 
• Strong knowledge of:  
• ICD-10-CM 
• CPT 
• HCPCS 
• Medical terminology and anatomy 
• Coding compliance guidelines 
• Proven experience in quality auditing and team management. 
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 
• Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
