Department: Merchandising & Production
Employment Type: Full-time
Experience: 2–5 years in fashion merchandising / garment production
Salary: ₹15,000–₹30,000 per month, depending on experience
About KIASAKIASA | Ronak & Shruti is a premium Indian fashion and bridal label specializing in designer lehengas, couture, occasion wear and embellished garments.
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Fashion Merchandiser who can act as the bridge between the design team, factory, karigars, suppliers and management and ensure that every garment moves smoothly from concept to finished product.
- Key Responsibilities1. Order & Production ManagementReceive and understand orders from the design/sales team.
- Create and maintain an order-wise production tracker.
- Track every garment from sampling to final delivery.
- Coordinate with the factory to ensure production timelines are met.
- Follow up daily on pending production.
- Identify delays and take corrective action immediately.
- Ensure priority and urgent orders are completed on time.
- 2. Design-to-Production CoordinationUnderstand designer sketches, references and specifications.
- Communicate design requirements clearly to the factory and karigars.
- Coordinate measurements, silhouettes, fabrics, colours and embroidery requirements.
- Ensure the final garment matches the approved design.
- Coordinate changes and alterations between the design team and production team.
- 3. Sampling & DevelopmentCoordinate development of new samples.
- Prepare sample requirements for fabric, trims, embroidery and embellishments.
- Follow up on sample development.
- Record comments and changes after each fitting/review.
- Ensure corrections are communicated clearly to the production team.
- Maintain records of approved samples and specifications.
- 4. Fabric & Trims PlanningCalculate fabric and material requirements for each style/order.
- Coordinate availability of fabrics, lining, trims, zippers, buttons, embroidery materials, pearls, sequins, cutdana and other embellishments.
- Raise material requirements before production starts.
- Coordinate with the purchase team/factory for procurement.
- Prevent production delays caused by material shortages.
- 5. Vendor & Karigar CoordinationCoordinate with outside vendors, embroidery units, tailors and karigars.
- Follow up on outsourced work.
- Track material sent outside the factory and material received back.
- Ensure outsourced work meets KIASA quality standards.
- Maintain vendor/karigar records and timelines.
- 6. Quality & Final CheckingConduct preliminary quality checks during production.
- Ensure garments are being made according to approved specifications.
- Coordinate with the QC team for final inspection.
- Flag defects, incorrect measurements, embroidery issues or finishing problems.
- Ensure rework is completed before delivery.
- 7. Costing & ConsumptionMaintain style-wise costing sheets.
- Track fabric and embroidery consumption.
- Coordinate with production/purchase teams for accurate material costs.
- Help management identify areas where production costs can be reduced without compromising quality.
- 8. Inventory & DocumentationMaintain order sheets, production trackers and sample records.
- Maintain records of materials issued for each garment.
- Track pending, completed and dispatched orders.
- Maintain basic inventory records.
- Ensure proper documentation of production movement.
- Daily ResponsibilitiesCheck all active orders and production deadlines.
- Follow up with factory and vendors.
- Check status of samples and production pieces.
- Coordinate material requirements.
- Update production trackers.
- Communicate design changes.
- Check pending alterations/rework.
- Escalate delays or quality issues to management.
- Candidate Requirements2–5 years of experience in fashion merchandising or garment production.
- Strong understanding of women's fashion and garment construction.
- Experience with ethnic wear, bridal wear, couture or embellished garments is preferred.
- Excellent follow-up and coordination skills.
- Good knowledge of fabrics, trims and garment manufacturing.
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple styles/orders simultaneously.
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
Preferred ExperienceCandidates with experience in:
- Bridal lehengas
- Couture
- Designer ethnic wear
- Heavy embroidery
- Hand embroidery

- Moti/pearl work

- Custom/bespoke garments
will be strongly preferred.
KPIsThe merchandiser will be evaluated on:

- Quality of finished garments
- Accuracy of order documentation
Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who is extremely proactive and does not need to be repeatedly reminded to follow up.
The ideal merchandiser should be able to look at an order and immediately understand:
What needs to be made → what material is required → who is making it → what stage it is at → what is delayed → what needs to be done next → when it will be ready.
The person should take ownership of the complete production journey rather than simply maintaining spreadsheets.
