Job Title: Senior Accountant

Department: Finance & Accounts

Key Responsibilities

1. Working Capital & Debt Advisory

·        Prepare, structure, and analyze Credit Monitoring Arrangement (CMA) data, cash flow projections, and credit appraisal presentations for bank loan applications.

·        Draft underwriting proposals and detailed bank presentations to secure working capital limits, term loans, and credit facilities.

·        Perform rigorous financial statement scrutiny and P&L analysis to identify financial glitches, discrepancies, or anomalies prior to bank submission.

·        Monitor cash flows, working capital cycles, and treasury functions to ensure optimal liquidity.

2. Financial Reporting & General Ledger

·        Manage end-to-end month-end and year-end financial closing activities.

·        Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in compliance with applicable accounting standards.

·        Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset schedules, and inter-company transactions.

3. Taxation & Regulatory Compliance

·        Ensure complete compliance with Direct and Indirect taxes, including GST filings, Income Tax TDS, Advance Tax calculations, and Tax Audit filings.

·        Prepare and manage filings for MCA (Ministry of Corporate Affairs) compliance and statutory requirements.

·        Liaise with tax authorities and external advisors to resolve notices, inquiries, or assessment proceedings.

·        Track ongoing regulatory changes to maintain full business compliance.

4. Audit Management & Internal Controls

·        Act as the primary point of contact for external, statutory, internal, tax, and secretarial audits.

·        Ensure robust internal control systems are maintained and document audit trails.

Required Qualifications & Skills

·        Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting (CA Inter / ICWA Inter / MBA Finance preferred).

·        Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in core accounting, bank borrowing processes (CMA data preparation), and taxation.

·        Technical Expertise:

o   In-depth knowledge of CMA data preparation, debt underwriting, and credit appraisal mechanics.

o   Strong proficiency in GST return filing, TDS, Income Tax regulations, and MCA filings.

o   Advanced financial analysis skills for spotting P&L and Balance Sheet discrepancies ("glitch finding").
