Job Description
- Shift supervision: Oversee food preparation and service flow to ensure a smooth, timely kitchen workflow.
- Leadership coverage: Step in to run the line, manage the pass, or lead the team in the Head Chef's absence.
- Hands-on support: Work various stations during peak rush hours to assist team members and keep up with demand.
- Problem solving: Address equipment issues, operational delays, or customer complaints immediately.
- Team mentoring: Train junior cooks, line cooks, and prep staff on culinary techniques and kitchen standards.
- Shift scheduling: Help create work schedules, assign station duties, and evaluate performance.
- Hiring assistance: Assist in interviewing new kitchen personnel.
- Plate inspection: Check food portions, appearance, temperature, and taste before it leaves the kitchen.
- Hygiene enforcement: Ensure full compliance with food safety laws, cleanliness protocols, and sanitation rules.
