Trainer Audiologist

Key Responsibilities  Conduct comprehensive audiological assessments and diagnostics (pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, otoacoustic emissions, auditory brainstem responses, for patients of all ages.  Interpret test results, identify hearing, and formulate appropriate management or referral plans.  Fit, program, and verify hearing aids, counsel patients and their families on device use, maintenance, and communication strategies.  Maintain detailed and accurate patient records: assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, follow-ups.  Collaborate with ENT surgeons, speech therapists, paediatricians, other allied health professionals for multidisciplinary care.  Keep audiology equipment calibrated and up to date; ensure test environment meets standards  Participate in outreach, screening camps, awareness programmes.  Engage in continuous professional development, stay updated with advances in audiology, assist in training junior staff/interns as applicable. Qualifications & Skills Essential:  BASLP or MASLP  Proven clinical experience in audiology (adults + paediatrics) — ideally 1-3 years  Sound knowledge of diagnostic audiology, hearing aid technology, assistive devices, and audiological rehabilitation.  Excellent patient counselling, communication, and interpersonal skills.  Ability to work independently, prioritise caseloads, work in team‐based healthcare environment. Desirable:  Experience in vestibular/balance testing and management.  Experience in advanced hearing technologies.  Familiarity with regulatory / accreditation standards for audiology in India.  Willingness to participate in community screening/outreach activities. Personal Attributes  Empathetic, patient-centred approach – able to engage with children, elderly, and special populations.  Detail‐oriented, strong organisational skills, able to maintain meticulous records.  Good problem‐solving ability – interpret test results and develop management plans.  Professional demeanour; strong ethics and confidentiality awareness.  Enthusiastic about learning new technologies / methods in audiology. Working Conditions & Other Details  Full-time role based in Mumbai; may involve occasional travel for outreach/screening camps or training  Clinical hours may include some weekends or extended hours depending on centre operations.  Will work in a sound‐treated audiometry suite / clinic environment, interfacing regularly with patients and allied professionals.  Salary & benefits will be commensurate with experience and responsibilities (to be specified).
