Sr. Manager - Building, Utilities & Other Infra for Press & Body Shops (Civil)

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Purpose of the role:

Lead planning, execution, commissioning and operational readiness of civil infrastructure for Press Shop and Body Shop during the Greenfield project phase and ensure reliable operation, maintenance, compliance and future expansion support of civil assets throughout the facility lifecycle.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Lead planning, execution and commissioning of civil infrastructure works for Press Shop and Body Shop during the Greenfield project phase, ensuring alignment with project timelines, quality standards, budget targets and SOP requirements.
• Drive execution of industrial buildings, press foundations, heavy equipment foundations, crane girder structures, utility trenches, roads, drainage systems and associated infrastructure required for manufacturing operations.
• Review civil designs, layouts, construction drawings, technical specifications and engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements, statutory regulations and future expansion needs.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Project teams to ensure infrastructure readiness for equipment installation, commissioning and production ramp-up activities.
• Manage consultants, contractors and vendors to achieve project objectives related to safety, quality, cost and delivery while ensuring adherence to approved schedules and construction standards.
• Monitor project progress, construction quality, budget utilization and execution risks, and drive corrective actions to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
• Support statutory approvals, inspections, audits, commissioning activities and infrastructure handover prior to Start of Production (SOP).
• Establish preventive maintenance, asset management and infrastructure reliability systems for buildings, foundations, roads, drainage systems and utility corridors to support long-term operational requirements.
• Drive civil modifications, facility enhancement projects, debottlenecking initiatives and infrastructure expansion activities in line with future business growth requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and statutory requirements while fostering a culture of operational excellence, cost optimization and continuous improvement.

Experience

10-12 years in industrial construction, infrastructure development and greenfield automotive projects.
