Caretaker

Key Responsibilities

·      Assist elderly clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding.

·      Support clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation while ensuring safety at all times.

·      Monitor and record vital signs, physical condition, and behavioral changes; promptly report concerns to the supervisor or nurse.

·      Administer medications as per instructions (where permitted) and follow prescribed care plans.

·      Provide companionship and emotional support; engage clients in light activities to promote mental well-being.

·      Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the client’s living area and assist with basic household tasks related to care.

·      Adhere to infection control practices, safety protocols, and organizational policies.

·      Maintain accurate daily care records and communicate effectively with family members and the healthcare team.
