Security Guard

About the RoleShri Shyam PG & Mess needs an honest, alert, and disciplined Security Guard for our Girls' PG. Since the PG is for female residents, good conduct and trustworthiness are most important.

• Key ResponsibilitiesStay at the main gate during duty hours and keep watch on who enters and leaves.
• Check every visitor, note their details in the visitor register, and allow entry only after permission.
• Do not allow any unknown or unauthorised person inside the PG.
• Take rounds of the building at night — corridors, stairs, terrace, parking, and gates.
• Lock all gates and common doors after curfew time.
• Monitor CCTV and report if any camera or light is not working.
• Act quickly in case of fire, theft, medical emergency, or any safety problem, and inform the Manager and owner immediately.
• Maintain the daily duty register and visitor entry records.
• Report any damage, complaint, or unusual activity to the Manager.
• Skills & RequirementsMinimum 1 year of experience as a security guard; experience at a girls' hostel, PG, women's college, or residential society will be given preference.
• Male candidates are strongly preferred.
• Age between 21 and 50 years, physically fit and able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Clean police verification record (mandatory) and valid ID proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID) with local address verification.
• Basic reading and writing ability in Hindi/English to maintain registers and logs.
• Basic smartphone skills — calls, WhatsApp, and CCTV mobile app viewing.
• Alertness, punctuality, honesty, and the discipline to follow instructions and protocols without exception.
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively during emergencies or confrontations.
• Willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and public holidays as per the duty roster.
• Must behave respectfully and professionally with all residents at all times.
• Preference for candidates with fire safety training, first aid knowledge, or ex-servicemen/ex-police background.
