Job Description
Samalkha Group of Institutions is looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Training & Placement Officer (TPO) to lead the institution’s Training & Placement Cell. The TPO will be responsible for building and maintaining strong industry relationships, securing placement and internship opportunities for students, and preparing them to succeed in the competitive job market.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Relations & Placements
• Identify, approach, and build long-term relationships with companies for campus recruitment.
• Organize and coordinate on-campus and off-campus placement drives.
• Negotiate with recruiters on job roles, packages, and hiring terms.
• Maintain and expand a database of recruiting companies, HR contacts, and past hiring trends.
Internship Coordination
• Source internship opportunities across industries relevant to students’ fields of study.
• Facilitate MOUs/tie-ups with companies for structured internship programs.
• Track and document internship outcomes and student performance feedback from employers.
Student Preparation
• Organize training programs on resume building, group discussions, aptitude tests, and interview skills.
• Conduct mock interviews and pre-placement talks (PPTs) in coordination with recruiters.
• Guide students on career planning and industry expectations.
Coordination & Reporting
• Liaise with department heads and faculty to align placement activities with academic schedules.
• Maintain placement records, statistics, and generate reports for management and accreditation (NAAC/NBA) purposes.
• Represent the institution at job fairs, industry events, and alumni networking sessions.
Alumni & Industry Engagement
• Build and leverage an alumni network for referrals and mentorship opportunities.
• Organize industry expert sessions, workshops, and seminars to bridge the academia-industry gap.
Key Skills & Competencies
• Strong network and relationship-building skills with corporate HR teams
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Organizational and multitasking ability to manage multiple drives simultaneously
• Working knowledge of MS Office/Excel for placement data and reporting
• Proactive, target-driven, and student-focused approach
