Quality Manager
ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsible for handling internal and external customer requirements, ensuring adherence to quality systems and processes, and leading the quality team to maintain product and process quality standards. Oversees quality control activities, drives continuous improvement initiatives, addresses customer complaints, coordinates audits, and ensures compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for in-process quality control in co-ordination with respective production head during casting and inspection as per respective Control Plan / Quality Plans.
*All system documentations adherence.
*Responsible to deliver duly approved quality products to machining and final inspection .
*Ensures that relevant quality management system is implemented in piston machining & Production head also ensures that non – conforming products are reviewed & scrap.
*Responsible for selection, procurement, calibration, inspection and issue of all the inspection measuring and test equipment & authorized to declare a particular instrument fit or unfit for use also responsible to impart on the job training to the employees.
*Responsible for maintaining activity wise skill chart and coordinator of MSA Team also responsible for layout and product audit inspection as per corresponding plans and identifying projects for continual improvement in his department and techniques to be applied.
*Responsible for implementing and maintaining Quality Systems and implementation of appropriate Statistical Techniques .
*Member of APQP and FMEA Teams.
*Responsible to initiate and implement corrective / preventive action arising out of product, process and quality system non-conformities. He is responsible for risk & opportunities analysis & related actions in his area
*ensures that customer concerns are handled promptly & co-ordinate with respective HOD for analysis & corrective action for the same. He is also responsible for in-process quality control in co-ordination with respective production head during new product development as per respective control plan/ quality plans.Qualification : B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering10–15 years of relevant experience in Quality and Machining Operations
Technical Skills : Extensive experience in Machining and Quality Operations.
Strong knowledge of quality management tools and methodologies, including:PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)PFMEA (Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis)
7 QC ToolsLean Manufacturing ToolsCAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions)PDCA / 8D Problem-Solving Methodology
SPC (Statistical Process Control)MSA (Measurement System Analysis)
Experience in handling internal and external customer quality requirements
Knowledge of quality systems, audits, compliance, and process improvement
Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPointWorking knowledge of Power BI and data analysis tools
