Billing & Estimation Engineer – Commercial, Residential & Interior Projects

• Job Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, and project budgets for commercial, residential, and interior projects.
• Prepare client and contractor bills based on project measurements and executed work.
• Verify measurements, quantities, rates, and supporting documents before processing bills.
• Prepare and submit running account (RA) bills, final bills, and subcontractor bills.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, contractors, architects, and clients for billing-related requirements.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure accurate estimation.
• Prepare rate analysis and compare material, labour, and subcontractor costs.
• Track project expenses and monitor costs against approved budgets.
• Identify variations, additional works, and deviations and prepare necessary cost statements.
• Maintain proper records of measurements, bills, invoices, work orders, and supporting documents.
• Assist in tendering, vendor/subcontractor negotiations, and commercial evaluations.
• Prepare regular MIS and reports related to project billing and cost control.
• Ensure timely submission and certification of bills.

• Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in billing and estimation.
• Experience in commercial, residential, and interior projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ, quantity surveying, rate analysis, and billing procedures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.
• Good communication, analytical, negotiation, and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
