Plumbing Consultant – On Assignment Basis

Job Description:

Bunty Group is looking for an experienced Plumbing Consultant on an assignment basis to inspect and monitor plumbing work at our construction site in Dapodi, Pune.

The consultant will be responsible for independently checking whether all plumbing and related services at the construction site are being executed correctly as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and good engineering practices, and ensuring that any defects or incorrect work are identified and rectified.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect plumbing work at the construction site at assigned intervals.

• Check plumbing installation as per approved drawings and project specifications.
• Inspect water supply, drainage and sanitary plumbing systems.
• Check soil, waste and rainwater pipes and their proper routing.
• Verify pipe sizes, slopes, levels, joints, supports and installation quality.
• Check plumbing shafts, sleeves, ducts and service openings.
• Inspect water tanks, pumps and associated plumbing connections.
• Check terrace and rainwater drainage arrangements.
• Inspect toilet and kitchen plumbing points.
• Check drainage lines and proper connection to the main drainage system.
• Verify pressure testing, leakage testing and other required plumbing tests.
• Identify defective, unsafe or incorrect plumbing work and communicate the required corrections.
• Coordinate with the site engineer, plumbing contractor and construction team for rectification.
• Re-inspect corrected work and confirm whether issues have been properly resolved.
• Check material quality and specifications wherever required.
• Review plumbing work against BOQ, drawings and project requirements, wherever applicable.
• Identify potential leakage, blockage, drainage and water-pressure issues before they become major problems.
• Ensure proper workmanship and quality of plumbing installations.
• Provide an inspection/status report after each assigned visit.
• Highlight major issues, pending corrections and areas requiring immediate attention.
• Support final plumbing inspection and snag-list verification before handover.

Candidate Requirements:

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Civil / Mechanical Engineering or relevant plumbing/MEP qualification.
• 5–12 years of relevant experience in plumbing construction/site execution.
• Strong experience in building construction / real estate projects preferred.
• Good knowledge of plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings.
• Ability to read and understand plumbing/MEP drawings.
• Good knowledge of water supply, drainage, sanitary and rainwater systems.
• Knowledge of pipe installation, testing, leakage detection and drainage systems.
• Ability to identify technical mistakes and suggest practical corrective measures.
• Should be capable of independently inspecting a construction site and preparing an inspection report.
• Good communication and contractor coordination skills.
• Experience as an independent Plumbing/MEP Consultant will be an advantage.

Important Requirement:

This is not a regular full-time site execution position. The consultant will be engaged as and when plumbing inspection/technical work is assigned.

The selected person should be able to:

1. Visit the construction site.
2. Thoroughly inspect the plumbing work.
3. Identify mistakes, defects, leakage risks and quality issues.
4. Explain the required corrections to the contractor/site team.
5. Verify that corrections have been completed properly.
6. Submit an inspection/status report to management.

Compensation: ₹2,500–₹5,000 per site visit/assignment – negotiable based on experience and scope of work.
