Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Reception: Greet patients warmly, address walk-in inquiries, and guide them through testing procedures or sample collection areas. [1]
- Registration & Data Entry: Create accurate digital patient profiles, capture demographic and referral details, and assign unique IDs in the Lab Information System (LIS).
- Appointment & Test Scheduling: Book appointments for pathology tests or radiology scans, ensuring patients receive crucial pre-test instructions like fasting or specific hydration rules.
- Billing & Cash Handling: Generate invoices, collect payments (cash, card, UPI, or insurance vouchers), and reconcile daily cash collections.
- Sample & Report Coordination: Coordinate with lab technicians regarding sample collection status and assist patients with physical or digital report collection.
- Query & Complaint Resolution: Answer phone calls and emails regarding test pricing, package details, turnaround times, and report delivery.
