VMC Programmer

We are looking for a skilled and experienced VMC Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and optimizing 2D, 3D, and 5-axis VMC machining programs using Delcam (PowerMill), checking CAD models in CATIA V5, and assisting in daily shop-floor planning and operator management.

Key Responsibilities:

• VMC Programming: Create, modify, and optimize 2D, 3D, 5-axis, and Horizontal Setting VMC programs using Delcam.
• Design Validation: Review design models in CATIA V5 for accuracy and manufacturability; coordinate with the Design department for necessary corrections.
• Shop-Floor Support: Guide VMC operators during program execution, troubleshoot machining issues, and ensure strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Work Allocation & Supervision: Assist the VMC Head in daily manpower allocation, task assignment, and departmental management in the Head's absence.
• Documentation & MIS: Maintain program setup sheets, tooling records, loss analysis sheets, ERP data, and assist in ISO / ZED audit readiness.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in 5S maintenance, Kaizen initiatives, standard operating procedures (SOP) development, and process optimization for time/cost savings.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in VMC programming (preferably for press tools or precision components).
• Machine Operation: Prior experience operating VMC machines is required.

Software Skills:

• Proficient in Delcam (PowerMill).
• Knowledge of CATIA V5 for model viewing/checking.

Technical Knowledge:

• Solid understanding of 2D, 3D, and 5-axis programming and horizontal setting.
• Expert knowledge of G-codes, M-codes, cutting tools, machining parameters, and GD&T.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
