Job PurposeThe Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting and verifying manufactured parts to ensure they meet specified quality standards, engineering drawings, customer requirements, and company procedures. The role involves checking dimensions, appearance, workmanship, and other quality characteristics using appropriate measuring instruments and inspection methods.

• Key ResponsibilitiesInspect incoming, in-process, and finished manufactured parts as per inspection plans, drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Check part dimensions using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Perform visual inspection to identify defects such as scratches, dents, cracks, burrs, welding defects, surface damage, and improper finishing.
• Verify parts against engineering drawings, specifications, samples, and approved standards.
• Record inspection results accurately in inspection reports, check sheets, and quality records.
• Identify and segregate non-conforming parts and inform the concerned supervisor or Quality Engineer.
• Support investigation of quality problems and assist in identifying the root cause of defects.
• Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections as required.
• Ensure measuring and inspection instruments are properly maintained and within calibration.
• Follow standard operating procedures, inspection procedures, and safety requirements.
• Communicate quality issues to production personnel and coordinate for corrective actions.
• Maintain proper identification and traceability of inspected parts.
• Support continuous improvement activities to reduce rejection, rework, and customer complaints.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection area.
