We are seeking a highimpact Automation Engineer with strong API troubleshooting expertise and deep scripting capability across Java andor Python ecosystems This role focuses on improving reliability incident resolution speed and operational efficiency by building intelligent automations for enterprise banking platforms The ideal candidate combines engineering rigor production support strength and practical AI adoption for secure compliant automation

Key Responsibilities

1 Troubleshoot and resolve complex API and integration issues across distributed systems

2 Build and maintain automation workflows for operational tasks incident remediation and platform health checks

3 Develop and enhance tooling in Java andor Python for diagnostics validation and service reliability

4 Build troubleshoot and support Python APIs using FastAPI where needed

5 Create and manage automation using Ansible for configuration deployment and runbook execution

6 Write robust Shell and PowerShell scripts for Linux and Windows operational environments

7 Use AIassisted approaches to automate repetitive tasks reduce manual intervention and improve service operations

8 Analyze logs traces and metrics to identify root causes and implement preventive controls

9 Partner with DevOps SRE InfoSec and application teams to ensure automation aligns with banking governance and controls

10 Document troubleshooting playbooks automation patterns and operational standards

11 Contribute to continuous improvement in resilience observability and release quality

Required Skills

1 Strong API troubleshooting skills in enterprise environments including RESTful services and integration patterns

2 Handson development experience in Java andor Python

3 Working knowledge of FastAPI framework for API development and troubleshooting

4 Practical Ansible experience for infrastructure and application automation

5 Advanced scripting ability in Shell and PowerShell

6 Experience with CICD pipelines and automationfirst engineering practices

7 Strong understanding of incident management RCA and production support best practices

8 Excellent communication and stakeholder management in highpressure environments

Preferred Skills

1 Experience in banking or other regulated industries

2 Exposure to AIMLenabled automation tools and responsible AI usage in operations

3 Familiarity with cloud and container platforms

4 Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools

5 Experience with secure coding and operational risk controls

Certifications Desirable

1 Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation

2 AWSAzureGCP certifications relevant to automation or operations

3 ITIL Foundation or equivalent service management certification

4 Certified Kubernetes Administrator if platform relevant

5 Securityrelated certifications for example CISSP Security are a plus

6 PythonFastAPI or backend API development certifications are desirable
