Job Description
Job Responsibilities
Prepare and cook food according to the menu and required standards.
Maintain consistent taste, quality, and presentation of food.
Prepare vegetables, spices, sauces and other ingredients before cooking.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and cooking area.
Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
Properly store food items and ingredients to avoid wastage.
Check the quality and freshness of raw materials.
Manage cooking time and ensure food is served on time.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and properly.
Maintain proper stock and inform management about low-stock items.
Minimize food wastage and control portion sizes.
Coordinate with other kitchen staff and management.
Follow recipes, instructions and daily menu requirements.
Required Skills
Good cooking and food preparation skills.
Knowledge of Indian/Chinese/Continental cuisine as required.
Good knowledge of spices and ingredients.
Knife handling and basic kitchen equipment skills.
Good hygiene and cleanliness habits.
Time management and ability to work under pressure.
Teamwork and good communication.
Ability to maintain consistency in taste and quality.
