Accountant

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting and office-related financial work for our diamond and jewellery business.

Our company deals in lab-grown diamonds, natural diamonds, and diamond-studded jewellery manufactured in gold and silver. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with accounting records involving jewellery, diamonds, precious metals, purchases, sales and inventory.

• Key Responsibilities Handle day-to-day accounting entries and bookkeeping.
• Prepare and maintain sales and purchase invoices.
• Record purchases and sales of diamonds, jewellery, gold and silver.
• Maintain customer and supplier ledgers.
• Handle bank reconciliation and cash reconciliation.
• Track receivables, payables and outstanding payments.
• Maintain proper records of jewellery, diamond, gold and silver transactions.
• Assist with GST-related accounting and documentation.
• Verify invoices, bills, vouchers and supporting documents.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers and internal staff regarding accounts.
• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare basic accounting reports.
• Handle general office documentation and administrative accounting work.
• Ensure all accounting entries are accurate and up to date.
• Required Skills Good knowledge of Tally / Tally Prime.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel.
• Basic to good understanding of GST and Indian accounting practices.
• Good understanding of debit/credit, ledgers, journal entries and bank reconciliation.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and business information.
• Experience in diamond, jewellery, gold/silver or manufacturing accounting will be an advantage.
