Business Analyst

1. Requirement Analysis

● Receive requirements/briefs from the Product Owner (client)

● Ask clarifying written questions to uncover the real underlying problem — not just the

proposed solution

● Analyze problems in depth:

○ Is the problem real? What related problems could be solved by the same

feature?

○ What alternative solutions exist?

○ What do competitors do to solve this problem? (competitive analysis)

● Present possible solutions with a recommended approach and reasoning, for client

sign-off

2. UX/UI Design Coordination

● Work with a Figma designer to translate the approved solution into UI/UX

● Build Figma mocks covering key use-case scenarios and flows

● Record Loom videos to walk the client and dev team through finalized rules and UX

● Get final sign-off from the client before implementation begins

3. Documentation (PRD Ownership)

● Write and maintain PRDs in a wiki, in BDD style (rules + scenarios per use case)

● Treat PRDs as living reference documentation — for current developers/QA and for

future team members who weren't in the room

● Ensure every feature has both a Loom walkthrough and a written PRD before

development starts — no exceptions, even under time pressure

4. QA & Release Sign-off

● Review and validate implemented features against the PRD once QA passes them

● Provide BA sign-off before a feature moves to production/beta

● Support phased rollout: beta (selected users) → full public release

5. AI-Assisted Workflow

This role will work inside an AI-augmented requirement analysis process, including:

● Using Claude Code (via a Git-based PRD repository) with custom skills built for BA work

● Using AI for competitive analysis, entity/system rules modeling, UX planning, UI

text/copy planning (across 37 supported languages), PRD drafting, and scenario

planning

● Contributing to an evolving set of internal AI skills/tasks for BA work as the process is

standardized

● (Future scope) Supporting a shift toward prompt-driven Figma mock generation within a

proper design system, in coordination with the UI/UX designer, who will remain

responsible for Figma file ownership

6. AI Feature Area (Kerika-specific)

Kerika is actively building AI-native features, including:

● An in-app AI Chat Agent ("AI Helper") that answers questions in the context of a user's

own data

● Expanding AI Helper to edit/manage user content (boards, tasks/cards, checklists,

attachments, chat) via natural language

● Future integrations (e.g., MCP server) to connect Kerika with other agents/tools

You'll be doing requirement analysis for these AI features, not building them — but comfort

discussing AI product concepts is important.
