Indirect Taxation Executive

Role Summary

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Indirect Taxation Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling all day-to-day direct and indirect tax compliance, ensuring timely filing of returns, and assisting with tax audits. You will play a key role in maintaining our financial health by ensuring strict adherence to Indian tax laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Indirect Tax (GST):

• Prepare and file monthly/quarterly/annual GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and GSTR-9C).
• Conduct monthly reconciliation of GSTR-2A and GSTR-2B with purchase registers to maximize Input Tax Credit (ITC).
• Generate and manage E-Way Bills and E-Invoices as per compliance requirements.
• Track and resolve discrepancies with vendors regarding GST mismatches.

Assessments & General Compliance:

• Draft replies to notices, intimations, and queries received from the GST departments.
• Assist senior management and tax consultants during departmental audits, assessments, and appeals.
• Maintain updated and accurate tax records, working papers, and documentation in Tally.
• Stay updated with the latest amendments in GST and advise the team on their implications.

Education: B.Com / M.Com / CA / MBA

Experience: 2 to 5 years of dedicated experience in handling Indian taxation (Indirect).

Required Skills

Technical: Strong proficiency in Tally Prime and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).

Portal Expertise: Hands-on experience navigating the GST portal.

Analytical: Sharp attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy, especially for complex reconciliations.

Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in Gujarati, Hindi, and English to effectively liaise with local vendors and tax authorities.
