Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect in-process and finished sheet metal and machined parts using precision instruments (e.g., Vernier, micrometer, height gauge).
  • Ensure parts conform to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and documentation as per ISO 9001 / IATF 16949.
  • Identify non-conformities and assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Assist in PPAP, control plans, and other quality documentation.
  • Monitor calibration status of measuring instruments.
  • Train operators on basic inspection and quality procedures.
  • Support internal and external audits.

Requirements:

  • Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 2–5 years of experience in quality control, preferably in the sheet metal industry.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, PPAP, FMEA, and 7 QC tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency in using measuring instruments and MS Office.
