Sanofi is seeking to strategically transform its approach to country and site selection by advancing trial scenario planning, patient identification, site engagement, and the end-to-end execution of site operations across the portfolio. By leveraging Agentic AI, advanced performance modeling and optimization, and robust recruitment simulation, Sanofi will enable faster, more reliable study planning and execution, ultimately accelerating time to LPI.

The Digital R&D - Jr Product Owner - Site Operations will serve as a strategic leader in advancing our Site Operations capabilities, driving innovative solutions that directly address the organization’s most critical challenges:

  • Accelerate LPI through transformed site selection, planning, and execution​

  • Reduce operational burden by optimizing site footprint and recruitment planning through AI‑enabled feasibility modernization

  • De-risk cross-functional recruitment planning by strengthening critical-path predictability​

  • Improve financial accuracy in per‑patient clinical trial costs to strengthen budgeting and strategic financial decisions​

  • Improve site intelligence and forecast alignment across R&D planning verticals.

Main responsibilities:

  • Own the day-to-day management of the product backlog in Jira, ensuring all user stories are clearly defined with acceptance criteria and prioritized based on business value and effort.

  • Support the product roadmap by managing ticket creation, refinement, and sprint planning.

  • Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives) to drive operational excellence and team efficiency.

  • Collaborate with Business and Digital teams to gather requirements for crunching internal data sources and external sources.

  • Translate high-level business needs into technical requirements to support the implementation of site selection and scenario planning algorithms and comprehensive vendor tracking.

  • Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and utilize product log data to identify tactical opportunities for optimization and automation.

  • Serve as a liaison between the technical development team and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on immediate sprint goals.

  • Support the user experience strategy by analyzing user feedback and data to ensure the product remains seamless and engaging.

  • Monitor product performance using key metrics and KPIs to report progress to the Senior Product Owner and broader product team.

Required Skills 

  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, React, Snowflake, and AWS.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Jira and Confluence for backlog grooming, user story creation, and documentation.

  • Minimum Product Owner certification is required.

  • Familiarity with analytics, dashboard development, and understanding data integration principles.

Required qualifications:

  • English working proficiency.

  • 2+ years’ experience in an Agile delivery role (Associate PO, Product Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar) with hands-on user story writing and backlog refinement.

  • Working knowledge of clinical trial operations (feasibility, site selection, study start-up, site performance).

  • Familiarity with development principles and analytics/dashboarding concepts.
