A textile store executive manages daily inventory, inspects raw fabrics or garments, and records stock movement to ensure smooth warehouse or retail floor operations. Key duties include maintaining ledger records, preventing material damage, and coordinating supply flows with production or sales teams

Inventory and Stock Control

• Track incoming yarn, fabrics, and trims against purchase orders
• Update ERP systems, SAP, or Tally with real-time stock data
• Perform routine physical audits and cycle counts to reconcile discrepancies
• Enforce FIFO (First-In, First-Out) methods to prevent material degradation

Material Handling and Quality Check

• Inspect raw textiles for defects, stains, or count mismatches
• Issue approved materials to production or retail floors via authorized slips
• Label, tag, and organize stock racks systematically for quick retrieval
• Prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) and material discrepancy reports

Coordination and Compliance

• Communicate reorder needs to management when stock hits minimum thresholds
• Liaise with vendors and procurement teams regarding deliveries or returns
• Maintain warehouse safety, cleanliness, and material preservation standards
