The Job:

OTC Lead – Credit and Collections (SEF India)

The Person:

• Responsible for overseeing the organization’s accounts receivable processes and managing customer credit. This position ensures timely collection of outstanding receivables, evaluates and monitors customer creditworthiness, and supports the company’s financial stability through effective risk management and customer relationship practices.

CRITICAL GENERIC SKILLS

• Monitor, track, and reconcile accounts receivable balances.
• Ensure timely collection of payments from customers and resolve discrepancies or payment issues.
• Prepare and distribute regular accounts receivable reports and dashboards to management.
• Evaluate new and existing customers’ creditworthiness through analysis of financial information and payment history.
• Recommend credit limits and payment terms in line with company policies.
• Maintain and update customer credit files.
• Conduct regular follow-ups with customers regarding overdue accounts.
• Implement collection strategies to reduce aged receivables and minimize bad debt risk.
• Investigate and resolve billing disputes, unidentified payments, and unapplied cash items.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to ensure prompt resolution.
• Support legal or compliance processes related to receivables and credit management as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
• Prepare and share reports on receivables aging, credit exposure, and collection performance.
• Provide information to management and relevant teams as requested.

COMPTENCIES MUST HAVE

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritize tasks.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
