Job Role: Applied Scientist / Data Scientist - Agentic Systems

Timing: 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM IST

Duration: 6 months (Extension possible) 

Location: Bhat, Ahmedabad 

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Applied Scientist / Data Scientist specializing in Agentic Systems. The role focuses on production-grade AI agents, orchestration, RAG, context engineering, observability and evaluation across complex multi-step workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design agent tools/functions, schemas, validation and tool-call error handling.

• Build multi-turn memory, planner/executor workflows, agent-to-agent handoffs, loop control and termination logic.

• Develop with Bedrock AgentCore runtime, memory, gateway and identity, or map LangGraph/CrewAI patterns to it.

• Instrument telemetry including spans per step, token usage, latency, failures and cost.

• Read agent traces and diagnose wrong tools, lost context, runaway loops and cost spikes.

• Build RAG pipelines using chunking, reranking, hybrid search and retrieval-miss diagnosis.

• Apply context engineering under cost and latency constraints and develop evaluation metrics.

Mandatory Requirements:

• 6+ years of relevant Applied AI, Data Science or Machine Learning experience.

• Strong hands-on experience building LLM-powered and agentic systems.

• Deep understanding of tool/function calling, orchestration, state and multi-turn memory.

• Hands-on Bedrock AgentCore or strong LangGraph/CrewAI experience.

• Experience with agent observability, tracing, telemetry and failure diagnosis.

• Strong RAG, retrieval evaluation, context engineering and prompt engineering experience.

Good to Have:

• Experience defining repeatable AI-readiness methods for enterprise data.

• Ability to assess completeness, freshness, schema conformance and lineage.

• Experience establishing quality gates and clear no-go verdicts for AI data readiness.

Engagement Note : This is a 6-month engagement with the possibility of extension. Final compensation will depend on relevant experience, technical skills and interview performance.
