Job Description
This position is responsible for achieving daily production targets of Melting as per defined quality and defined norms of production
Production
Management
·
Responsible for daily shift-wise production planning
·
To maintain target production output with rejection
controls and quality.
·
To monitor the production process and re-schedule,
whenever required.
·
Responsible for inventory control during the shift
·
Responsible for manpower utilization during the
shift
·
To maintain shift-wise production data in terms of
quantity produced, % rejections, down-time,
Material consumption, power consumption
Resource
Optimization
·
To take measures to decrease the operating cost.
·
To minimise total downtime due to various factors
Continuous
Improvement
·
To implement quality guidelines, tools, techniques
etc
·
To identify new improved processes for productivity
improvement
Maintenance
·
To co-ordinate with maintenance staff for break-down
and preventive maintenance of furnace
·
To ensure proper furnace lining as and when done

To implement safety guidelines in the department

To ensure proper house-keeping in the department
