Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Garment Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of fashion, garment construction, fabrics, prints and current fashion trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Create new garment designs and fashion concepts.
- Develop Indo-Western and Western wear designs.
- Work on silhouettes, patterns, colour combinations and garment details.
- Create design sketches, mood boards and basic tech packs.
- Select and coordinate suitable fabrics, prints and trims.
- Coordinate with the printing, sampling and stitching teams.
- Develop samples and make necessary design modifications.
- Keep up with current fashion and garment trends.
- Ensure designs are commercially viable and suitable for production.
- Maintain consistency with the brand’s premium aesthetic.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Fashion Designing, Garment Designing or a related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Good knowledge of garment construction and fabrics.
- Understanding of prints and fabric placement.
- Strong creative and aesthetic sense.
- Knowledge of CorelDRAW / Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop will be an advantage.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Portfolio is required.
