Retail Store Manager

Position Overview The Store Manager oversees all daily retail operations, drives sales performance, manages store personnel, and ensures exceptional customer service. This role is directly responsible for meeting revenue targets, optimizing store presentation, maintaining inventory accuracy, and building a high-performing store team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily opening, closing, and administrative procedures.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and align store presentation with brand guidelines.
• Direct loss prevention protocols, conduct regular inventory audits, and control shrinkage.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, local labor laws, and safety regulations.
• Team Leadership & Development

• Recruit, hire, onboard, and train store associates and supervisory staff.
• Set performance expectations, conduct regular reviews, and address performance issues directly.
• Create optimized staff schedules that balance labor budget constraints with peak customer traffic.
• Foster a collaborative, fast-paced, and positive team environment.
• Sales & Financial Performance

• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and target margins.
• Monitor store P&L, control operating expenses, and manage payroll budgets.
• Analyze sales reports to identify product trends, demand fluctuations, and growth opportunities.
• Customer Experience

• Lead by example on the sales floor to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Resolve customer complaints, escalated returns, and service issues promptly.
• Implement local marketing and promotional events to drive foot traffic.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 3+ years of retail management or supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Skills: Strong leadership, financial acumen (P&L, sales reporting), communication, and conflict resolution.
• Technical: Proficiency with POS systems, inventory management software, and scheduling tools.
• Physical & Logistics: Ability to work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends, and holidays) and stand/lift inventory as required.
