Transport Executive – Roles & Responsibilities

1. Transport Operations

Manage day-to-day employee transportation operations.

Coordinate staff buses, cabs, and other transport vehicles.

Ensure vehicles operate as per scheduled routes and timings.

Monitor pickup and drop locations and ensure timely service.

2. Driver & Vendor Coordination

Coordinate with drivers, transport vendors, and service providers.

Track driver attendance, vehicle availability, and route deployment.

Handle driver/vendor issues and ensure quick resolution.

3. Route & Shift Management

Prepare and update transport routes based on employee requirements.

Coordinate transportation for day, night, and rotational shifts.

Manage last-minute route or vehicle changes.

4. GPS & Tracking

Monitor vehicles through GPS/tracking systems.

Track delays, deviations, breakdowns, and unauthorized route changes.

Maintain daily transport movement records.

5. Employee Support

Address employee transportation complaints and queries.

Ensure safe and comfortable pickup/drop services.

Coordinate emergency transportation requirements when needed.

6. Safety & Compliance

Ensure vehicles have valid documents, permits, insurance, fitness certificates, and pollution certificates.

Ensure drivers comply with company safety requirements.

Conduct regular checks on vehicle condition and safety standards.

7. MIS & Reporting

Maintain daily transport reports, vehicle utilization, trip sheets, and attendance records.

Prepare transport-related MIS reports.

Track vehicle costs, extra trips, and vendor performance.

8. Cost Control

Monitor fuel consumption and vehicle utilization.

Reduce unnecessary trips and optimize routes.

Support cost-effective transport planning
