Job Description

Guidewire is seeking a Japanese bilingual Business Analyst to support strategic business and technology initiatives for the Japan market. You will translate complex business needs into clear, implementable solutions and act as a bridge between Japan business teams and global technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Bilingual Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise between Japanese‑speaking business users and English‑speaking global teams; lead bilingual workshops and requirement discussions.

• Requirements & Design: Gather and analyze business needs; create and translate business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories. Help the team understand the business requirements.

• Process & Gap Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to document business processes, assess gaps between existing and target-state operations, and recommend process enhancements.

• Delivery & Testing: Support backlog refinement and sprint planning, ensuring clear Japanese–English acceptance criteria and helping business testers validate outcomes in ST/IT/UAT 

• Stakeholder Alignment: Communicate options, risks, and decisions to Japanese and global stakeholders and drive consensus.

• Actively use Guidewire tools, automation, and responsible AI capabilities to increase your productivity and improve the quality and consistency of project outcomes.

Required Qualifications (Must‑Haves)

• Japanese language proficiency at business level (equivalent to JLPT N2 or above).

• 5–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role on technology or transformation programs.

• Proven experience in requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and working with Agile/Scrum teams.

• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).

• Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement in your current role.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain.

• Guidewire experience or certification (e.g., Guidewire PolicyCenter/ClaimCenter Business Analyst or InsuranceSuite Integrations).

• Experience working with Japanese insurers or Japan insurance products.

• Exposure to data‑driven or analytics‑heavy initiatives.
