About the Role: 

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated QA Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of our software products while also providing technical support to clients. The role requires a good understanding of software testing fundamentals, troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and respective clients. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Quality Assurance & Testing 

● Understand business and technical requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios. 

● Prepare and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test checklists. 

● Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, Sanity, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as required. 

● Identify, document, track, and follow up on software defects using appropriate defect-tracking tools. 

● Re-test resolved defects and ensure issues are properly closed. 

● Perform exploratory testing to identify potential issues beyond predefined test cases. 

● Verify application functionality across different browsers, devices, environments, and configurations where applicable. 

● Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand and resolve issues. 

● Participate in release validation and ensure product quality before deployment. ● Maintain proper QA documentation, test results, and defect reports.

Client Technical Support: 

● Provide technical support and assistance to clients regarding application-related issues. 

● Analyze client-reported issues and reproduce problems in the test environment whenever possible. 

● Perform initial troubleshooting and identify whether an issue is related to the application, configuration, data, environment, or user behavior. 

● Communicate technical issues clearly to clients and provide appropriate resolutions or workarounds. 

● Coordinate with Development, Product, and other internal teams to resolve client-reported issues. 

● Follow up on reported issues and ensure timely resolution and closure. 

● Maintain proper records of client issues, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and recurring problems. 

● Assist in identifying recurring issues and provide feedback to the QA/Product teams for product improvements. 

Required Skills & Knowledge: 

● 1–2 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance. 

● Basic understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). 

● Good understanding of fundamental testing concepts and methodologies. ● Basic knowledge of different types of testing, including: 

● Functional Testing 

● Regression Testing 

● Smoke Testing 

● Sanity Testing

● Integration Testing 

● System Testing 

● UAT 

● Exploratory Testing 

● Basic knowledge of test case preparation, test execution, defect reporting, and defect life cycle. 

● Familiarity with at least one bug/issue tracking or test management tool such as Jira or similar tools. 

● Basic understanding of testing tools and techniques. 

● Basic knowledge of API testing and tools such as Postman is an advantage. ● Good analytical and problem-solving skills. 

● Ability to troubleshoot and investigate technical issues. 

● Good written and verbal communication skills. 

● Ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal technical teams. ● Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset. 

Good to Have: 

● Basic knowledge of API testing using Postman. 

● Basic knowledge of SQL queries and database validation. 

● Familiarity with Jira or similar tools. 

● Understanding of web applications, REST APIs, and basic HTTP concepts. ● Exposure to browser developer tools and basic troubleshooting techniques. ● Basic knowledge of automation testing concepts is an added advantage. ● Experience in a client-support or application-support environment will be an advantage.

● Good at identifying problems and finding practical solutions. 

● Comfortable communicating with clients and explaining technical issues in simple terms. ● Detail-oriented and capable of thinking from an end-user's perspective. ● Able to manage multiple issues/tasks and prioritize based on urgency. 

● A good team player who can work closely with QA, Development, Product, and Support teams. 

● Proactive in identifying potential product issues and suggesting improvements.

Education: 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
