Junior Merchandiser

Job Title: Junior Merchandiser – Denim & Casual Wear

Job Summary

We are seeking a Merchandiser specializing in denim and casual wear. You will manage product development, costing, and production timelines. You must have deep knowledge of denim washes, fabrics, and casual garment construction.

Core Competencies

• Supportive Communication: Assisting in daily updates between buyers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Customer Service Focus: Promptly responding to basic buyer queries and feedback.
• Market Awareness: Basic understanding of denim retail trends and buyer expectations.
• Assistance in Marketing: Supporting the presentation of new denim collections and trend data.

Technical Expertise

• Sampling & Development: Tracking sample status from tech pack to final approval.
• Production Follow-up: Monitoring daily factory floor progress against delivery schedules.
• Basic Denim Knowledge: Familiarity with standard denim fabrics, common washes, and trims.
• Documentation: High proficiency in maintaining BOMs (Bill of Materials) and order sheets.
• Software Skills: Daily usage of MS Excel and basic ERP or data entry systems.

Operational Skills

• Organization: Managing files, fabric swatches, and trim libraries systematically.
• Detail Orientation: Checking measurements and trim placements against tech packs.
• Multi-tasking: Handling administrative tasks for multiple orders simultaneously.

Education and Experience

• Academic Background: Diploma or Degree in Fashion, Textiles, or Apparel Merchandising.
• Experience Level: 2–3 years of experience in apparel merchandising (denim exposure preferred).
