You will be responsible for defining, driving, and implementing the secure modern solutions that power collaboration for Microsoft. To be successful in this role, you must have technical breadth and depth in the Microsoft365 solutions, particularly the Office365 services’ Exchange Online and Teams. The role will have a focus around engineering solutions that ensure service stability/optimization and supportable/scalable management for the collaboration and communications tools that are a part of the Office365 services. Bring your technical skills in enterprise and cloud collaboration, your passion for building scalable and reliable systems, and desire to influence how Enterprise-class services are delivered. Other focus may also include service availability, problem and process management as well as creating automation to support service operations. Key skills and experience include engineering excellence, customer service, project management, enterprise problem solving, and collaborative communications.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a technically strong and security-conscious Service Engineer to lead the administration, governance, and innovation of Microsoft365 solutions, primarily Exchange Online, and continuous improvements using AI and automation. This role will be responsible for implementing security standards, scalable solutions, and ensuring platform health and compliance across the enterprise.  

As a Service Engineer,  

• You will independently administer and govern Microsoft365 solutions primarily, Exchange Online and Teams. 
• You will ensure and improve platform health and compliance by integrating with enterprise systems, conducting assessments, and collaborating with Information Security and Compliance teams.  
• You will be leveraging automation and AI approach for continuous improvement.  
• You will manage incidents and complex issues through troubleshooting, fix implementation, automation, and adherence to security, privacy, and compliance standards. 
• You will be part of cross-functional collaboration and enablement, partnering with engineering, product group for (new features testing-Customer Zero), security team and business teams to drive feature initiatives.   
• You will Identify and drive service and product improvements that meet the needs of Enterprise customers. 
• Define and leverage data and telemetry to make decisions and driving feedback into systems design and implementation.  
• You will partner with other teams to improve products and processes to drive delightful end-user experiences. 

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 8+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, service engineering, or systems engineering
  • OR equivalent experience. 
• 5+ years of hands on experience in managing Microsoft365 services eMail Online and Teams. 
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, Or any other language.  
• Experience in supporting and executing Exchange Online and Teams administration.
• Understanding of Azure services including Azure AD, Azure Monitor, Logic Apps, Function Apps, and Graph API.  
• Identify and drive service and product improvements that meet the needs of Enterprise customers. 
• Provide technical expertise in the Microsoft 365 and Office365 services Exchange and Teams to optimize and improve the end-user experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams and drive cross-functional initiatives.  
• Strong commitment to a growth mindset and active advocacy for inclusive practices. 
• Experience integrating with the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Outlook, SharePoint, and OneDrive. (Good to have).  
• Fair understanding of Microsoft 365 multi-tenant environments and their operational considerations.   
• Certification - Administrator Expert MS‑102: Microsoft 365 Administrator.
