Specialist - System Management
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to
Manage and support Mainframe Db2 for zOS administration utilities recoverability performance and production issue resolution
Support replication platforms including QREP CDC DPROP and CDA ensuring stability low latency data consistency and timely issue remediation
Drive automation using Python REXX shellUSS scripting and related tools to improve monitoring health checks reconciliation and operational efficiency
Contribute to Db2 modernization through REST APIs zOS Connect zOSMF workflows API enablement and platform simplification initiatives
Apply mainframe security practices across access control dataset permissions TLS certificates authentication and secure operations
Partner with application infrastructure and global support teams on incident management change execution documentation and continuous improvement
Participate in 7x24 oncall support as required
Foundational skills
Strong handson Mainframe Db2 for zOS DBA experience including utilities backuprecovery performance tuning SQL analysis and production support
Good working knowledge of replication platforms including QREP CDC DPROP and CDA
Solid mainframe fundamentals across JCL TSOISPF SDSF datasets batch processing and operational troubleshooting
Automation experience using Python REXX shellUSS scripting or similar tools
Knowledge of REST APIs zOS Connect zOSMF workflows API integration and mainframe security concepts
Strong problemsolving crossplatform troubleshooting communication and collaboration skills in a global support environment
Desired skills
USS scripting knowledge is a plus
Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk Dynatrace or similar platforms
Exposure to Db2 modernization mainframe API enablement platform automation and integration with distributedcloudbased systems
Experience with JavaScript or other automation and development tools is a plus
Knowledge of BMC and IBM Db2 toolsutilities is preferred
Willingness to learn emerging mainframe modernization technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
