Wirecut Programmer Cum Operator

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Wirecut Programmer cum

Operator to operate and program Wire EDM machines for accurate cutting of dies, moulds, punches, inserts, and other precision components. The candidate should have good knowledge of machine operation, programming, drawing reading, and basic troubleshooting. The person will be responsible for completing jobs as per drawings, dimensions, quality requirements, and production schedules.

• Key ResponsibilitiesOperate Wirecut EDM machines safely and efficiently for precision machining of components.
• Prepare and modify Wirecut programs based on engineering drawings and job requirements.
• Read and understand 2D drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and machining instructions.
• Set up jobs correctly, including workpiece alignment, clamping, wire threading, and machine settings.
• Select suitable cutting parameters based on material, thickness, accuracy, and surface-finish requirements.
• Check job dimensions during and after machining using suitable measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Ensure components are produced according to specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Identify and correct basic programming, setting, and machining-related issues.
• Carry out routine machine cleaning, maintenance checks, and consumable replacement as required.
• Monitor wire condition, dielectric water quality, filters, and other operating parameters.
• Maintain proper records of production, machine usage, programs, and job completion.
• Follow production schedules and complete assigned jobs within the required time.
• Coordinate with Tool Room, Production, Quality, and Engineering teams whenever required.
• Follow all company safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and quality systems.
