Job Description
Job Summary
The Depot Control Incharge (DCI) is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the depot, ensuring smooth order fulfillment, rider management, inventory coordination, and adherence to operational SOPs. The DCI ensures timely dispatch of orders while maintaining high service levels, safety standards, and team productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Monitor daily depot operations and ensure smooth functioning.
- Ensure timely order processing, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Coordinate with warehouse and delivery teams to achieve operational targets.
- Minimize order delays and improve service levels.
Rider Management
- Ensure adequate rider availability for every shift.
- Manage rider attendance, onboarding, and shift allocation.
- Track rider productivity and delivery performance.
- Resolve rider-related operational issues promptly.
Inventory & Asset Management
- Monitor inventory movement and stock accuracy.
- Report stock discrepancies and damaged items.
- Ensure proper handling of company assets, including mobile devices, scanners, and equipment.
Quality & Compliance
- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards at the depot.
- Ensure compliance with operational guidelines and audit requirements.
- Maintain all operational records and documentation accurately.
Reporting
- Share manpower, attendance, rider availability, and order status reports.
- Escalate operational challenges to the Cluster Manager/Operations Manager.
Required Skills
- Familiarity with mobile applications and operational dashboards.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
Experience
- 0-1 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, quick commerce, e-commerce, or retail operations.
- Experience in managing riders and depot operations is preferred.
